Birdstone, Porphyry, Topknot: Made of gray granite with large phenocrysts. This is the fourth topknot bird recognized by Townsend when he acquired it in 1990, and it is the only specimen of porphyry. Perforation started in the front and no evidence of drilling in the rear; small area of damage to lower left side of the tail, otherwise good condition. 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 Eaton Co. Michigan Found in May of 1985 by Cedric Root in Sunfield Twp. Pictured in WW#9 page 356. T5293
