Louis Comfort Tiffany preparatory design for Little Orphant Annie memorial stained glass window; Painting; Gouache on paper. "Little Orphant Annie" upper right, and "Memorial Inscription" rendered lower right. Hand signed on matting with signature of approval by L.C. Tiffany, Tiffany Studios N.Y. Ecclesiastical Dept. The image is identical to the original illustration by Ethel Franklin Betts which appears in James Whitcomb Riley's book of Poetry, "Ef You Don't Watch Out", published by the Bobbs Merrill Company of Indianapolis in 1908. It is unknown whether or not this work was also painted by Betts.

Archives at The Metropolitan Museum of Art lists a similar piece with identical subject. However, it is stated in the Memorial; "IN MEMORY OF / 1916 ALICE MOULTON DREW 1924". 14 5/8" x 14 (image), 24 1/4" x 20" (overall)
